Mikel Arteta – Age 38
Spanish footballer and current coach of Arsenal Football Club, Mikel Arteta, became the first person affiliated to the English Premier League to test positive for COVID-19. It is alleged that he, and a few of the club’s players, were exposed to the virus after playing a match against Greece’s Olympiacos, whose president had the infection.
Arteta says he had roughly four days of discomfort with a dry cough, tight chest, and high temperature. But his main concern was how far he had spread it since it happens so fast and easily. He said his wife and mother had contracted it but was grateful his children didn’t.
