Brian Stokes Mitchell – Age 62

One of the top Broadway actors since the 1990s, Brian Stokes Mitchell won a Tony Award in 2000 for his role in Kiss Me Kate. But in 2020, he joined another elite celebrity club when he became one of the first Broadway actors to test positive for COVID-19.

According to Mitchell, he could feel his body was fighting something unusual and immediately started isolating himself in a bedroom, away from his family. He shared his entire day-to-day experience online and also sang out of his apartment window every evening to salute frontline workers. He was virus-free after ten days.
