Making Friends in the Sea
The animal seen in this picture is a sea lion, and while it can be rather dangerous if it attacks a person, it doesn’t mind making friends with these women. The women, too, don’t look afraid and opt to seize the moment by clicking pictures with their jolly companion.
Although sea lions, also known as dogs of the ocean, don’t usually bite or attack, they might do so during breeding or when they feel threatened or harassed. While these mammals can swim at a speed of 20 miles per hour, they can’t breathe underwater. They can, however, hold their breath for up to 20 minutes.
