Melinda Gates – $2.4 billion

To everyone’s surprise, Melinda and Bill Gates announced their upcoming divorce in 2021. They had been married since 1994. They were partners in life, business, and philanthropy, creating the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Since their announcement, though, Bill’s been transferring assets to Melinda’s name.

Forbes recently estimated that she’s worth a minimum of $2.4 billion since the transfers. She now owns millions of shares on AutoNation, Canadian National Railway Co., and much more. We wouldn’t be surprised to see her getting the $43-million house in Del Mar, which they bought in 2020.
