Yvon Chouinard is the founder of the retail brand Patagonia, which has helped him notch up a net worth of $100 million. He has also been a champion for environmental causes such as global warming and decided to take the right step and show the way how entrepreneurs can come forward and do their bit for the environment.

Chouinard, known as a “reluctant billionaire,” transferred 98% of his clothing and gear company, Patagonia, to a non-profit organization, “Holdfast Collective,” which will use the profits to fight the environmental crisis. The enterprise has decided to donate over $140 million in cash to environmental groups at grassroots levels striving to make a difference.
