Condoleezza Rice – $12 Million
Before Kamala Harris became the Vice President and set all kinds of new records, Condoleezza Rice was the highest-ranking African American in the history of the United States of America. This was thanks to her becoming the first female to ever serve as the 66th United States secretary of state.
Before then, she served as the 20th national security advisor. Since leaving her post as secretary of state, Rice has returned to the academic field and serves as the director of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Outside politics, she is also an accomplished pianist who has played shows with Yo-Yo Ma and the late Aretha Franklin.
