Jean Pierre Pernaut – 80 ans
The reader and broadcaster of information on French television is widely known simply by his initials, JPP. Regular presenter of TF1’s noon newscast, 13 Heures since 1988, Pernaut is one of the most popular news readers in France thanks to his avuncular personality and his authoritarian speech. Also editor-in-chief of the newsletter, Pernaut has long encouraged a deliberate policy of trivializing content with each issue, typically featuring articles on local culture and traditional crafts towards the end of the show. Until today, he continues to present the newspaper.
