Roger Waters – Bonds Cay, $16 Million
Former Pink Floyd vocalist Roger Waters teamed up with pop star singer Shakira to buy an island in Bonds Cay. It cost them $16 million to buy, but they have a plan in place to make it all back and more. Their plan is to turn the island into a luxury resort, with plans for boutique hotels, luxury condominiums, and private beaches on the 500-acre island.
There will be an artistic twist to the resort too, with galleries showing up and coming artists’ work and an artist’s retreat, which will serve as a working getaway for artists who will live in residence.
