Eddie Murphy – Rooster Cay, $15 Million
In 2007 Eddie Murphy walked out of the Oscars after losing out in the best supporting actor statue for his role in the movie Dreamgirls. That same year he also bought the Rooster Cay island for $15 million. The island remains undeveloped with no word from Murphy on what he plans to do with it.
But it’s widely regarded that even without any developments, the 15-acre island is still a picture of pristine beauty. Murphy is set to reprise his role as the smart-mouthed detective Axel Foley in the fourth installment of Beverly Hills Cop, set to be distributed by Netflix.
