Lenny Kravitz doesn’t own the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, but he does own a bit of Bahamian heritage. His mother, actress Roxie Roker, is a first-generation Bahamian American who became famous for playing Helen Willis in the sitcom, The Jeffersons.

Kravitz decided to follow his heritage and bought some land on the island in 1989. When on the island, the Dig In hitmaker lives in an Airstream trailer and has a recording studio on-site if inspiration hits him. Eleuthera is a pretty popular holiday destination: Both George Clooney and Mariah Carrey have vacationed there, and it’s said that the late Princess Diana stayed there while pregnant with Prince William.
