Dietrich Mateschitz – Fiji, $10 Million
As co-founder of Red Bull, Dietrich Mateschitz knows about selling a fast-paced lifestyle. But when he bought Laucala Island in Fiji, he decided to try selling the high life. He built a resort with 25 villas, a golf course, and a 500-square-meter swimming pool. The resort also has a watersport center with everything from Jet Skis to a $2 million submarine.
Mateschitz also built a resort within the resort for himself made up of two guest villas, an infinity pool, and Jacuzzis. It costs $5,000 a night to rent a villa and, when Mateschitz isn’t using his private section, it’s also available for $40,000 a night.
