Ekaterina Rybolovleva – Skorpios Island, Estimated $140 Million
Skorpios Island is already featured in this list under the ownership of Aristotle Onassis. The late shipping magnate’s granddaughter sold the island for $140 million to fellow billionaire heiress Ekaterina Rybolovleva.
The current owner is dubbed a socialite, but she is also an accomplished equestrian and businesswoman who own AS Monaco in the French soccer league. She has plans of converting the island into a commercial resort with a new complex of luxury villas, a golf course, sports facilities, a spa, and a restaurant. Her investment is said to cost around $120 million.
