Gemma Rose Owen & Michael Owen

Football legend Michael Owen may have retired from the sport in 2013, but he’s been regularly involved as a sports commentator and pundit. Owen, who built his legacy playing for clubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid and the English national team, now breeds horses, which brings us to his family.

His eldest daughter Gemma Owens is an international dressage rider for England. Just like her famous father, she’s seen success in the sport she chose, winning a trophy in a freestyle dressage competition in 2017. Her dad received some media flak in 2021, though, after being accused of soliciting explicit pictures from former Big Brother star Rebecca Jane.
