Grandma Knows What’s Up

This photo is yet another proof of how some people’s grandparents stay witty even at an older age. The boy received a book titled “Ragged Dick,” and he was wondering if there was a hidden meaning behind his grandma gifting it to him.

The novel is by Horatio Alger Jr., and it was his best-selling publication. I was the first installment in a six-volume series, and it’s about a boot polisher who rises into a middle-class lifestyle during the 19th century after living in poverty for so long. Grandma might’ve wanted to give her grandson some inspiration in life.
