Fidelis Ad Mortem
“Fidelis Ad Mortem” is the latin version of the New York Police Department (NYPD) motto. It means “Faithful Unto Death,” and Levi is the kind of police who is devoted to his job of serving and protecting the citizens of his city. Levi is all about being a cop, and any chance of helping the locals fulfilled his purpose in life.
The NYPD motto can also be linked to our canine friends who are known for their loyalty. Knowing this, we can’t help but think that this chance encounter between Levi and the black dog wandering the snowy streets was meant to be.
