After Two Days
Two days into the whole dog-sitting thing, everything seemed to work out. Bruce didn’t take long to adjust to his new surroundings while Cathy was getting better in the hospital day by day. Separation anxiety in dogs does exist—just ask Pet’s WebMD—so this situation really did look like it was panning out well.
Levi left for his shift on the third day, like it was just the same as any other day. He was confident that things would be alright at his household once he left, so he kissed his wife goodbye and went on his way. However, he was mistaken.
