John Farnham – $15 Million
English-born Australian pop singer John Farnham sang his way into the hearts of many fans as a teen pop idol between 1967 and 1979. Picking up adult contemporary singing after his successful debut in 1964 greatly transformed his music career. He’s been primarily a solo artist, although he was briefly the lead singer of the Little River Band.
Farnham has composed world-beaters, including his 1986 solo single “You’re the Voice,” which topped the Australian singles charts. The hit’s associated album, “Whispering Jack,” also topped for 25 weeks. It’s now clear and understandable why his work has given him a fortune of $15 million.
