Lost in Translation
Often people need help in translating a new language they’re unfamiliar with. Chinese is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with over 290 countries speaking it as their mother tongue or as a second language. Many love it for its cool sounds, so it’s not a wonder to spot people with tattoos about it.
This man wasn’t left behind either, but he and the tattoo artist seemed to need to check the Chinese word intended for inking. Instead, the artist went with “regret,” which was probably the translation of the word “后悔,” meant to be tattooed.
