Beyond just blatantly attacking women from a misogynistic standpoint; ad campaigns of the yesteryears thought it befitting to expend unwarranted advice as well. Looking at it from a marketing standpoint, consumers appreciate and value receiving beneficial information. Therefore, promotional materials that use this approach foster brand perception and appreciation overall.

In the case of this marketing write-up, the idea promoted is that women should focus more on looking beautiful rather than being intelligent. The gender agenda, once again, is explicitly brought up. Not to say that the gendered stereotypes in advertising have become a thing of the past, only that these days it’s not promoted in potent forms.
