Times are different now, and while this innocent pamphlet promoting Chiquita bananas was acceptable back then, it would cause an uproar today. Perhaps we sometimes make mountains out of molehills these days and we choose to look at the bright side.
Except for the vintage ads that tabled sodas as acceptable treats for infants, it’s refreshing to see promotional materials marketing a healthy snack. Speaking about bananas, they botanically fall under the category of berries. If someone finds out that they are allergic to chestnuts, avocados, and bananas there’s also a high likelihood that they suffer from a latex allergy.
