Spanking Madness
It’s simply offensive to think that there was ever a time when ad honchos thought that domestic violence was acceptable and a great marketing ploy for that matter. The misogynistic Chase & Sanborn coffee ads dating back to the ’50s used the fear appeal approach to tell women that they risked getting a spanking from their husbands for buying stale coffee.
This particular poster was amongst a series of vintage ads given a resurgence by an anonymous Syrian artist going by the moniker Saint Hoax. He reworded the old promotional material to feature some of the chauvinistic remarks allegedly uttered by Donald Trump.
