The target audience is always in mind when coming up with promotional campaigns. Additionally, the marketing strategy should align with the end user’s preferences and most importantly, package the product as a solution to a pressing issue. You’ve probably heard the argument that “feminine charms” sell, and from what we see, it’s also something that vintage ad-makers propagated.
There’s a thin line between tasteful and overbearing, and this color projector promo falls on the latter side. Perhaps the Bell & Howell projector recorded enormous sales after this promotional pamphlet went into circulation, and it must have been all thanks to the perky persuasion.
