Steve Waugh – Austin Waugh, Cricketer

Being born to celebrity parents comes with a lot of pressure to try and measure up or even surpass their achievements. Austin Waugh is the firstborn son of the legendary Steve Waugh, following his footsteps into the world of cricket. However, like lots of people born into the limelight, the pressure seems to have caught up with the young athlete.

A promising star, Austin has represented Australia in the 2018 under-19s World cup, where they came very close to clinching victory. In 2020, the Australian cricketer announced that he was taking a sabbatical to rediscover his love for the sport. Maybe we can all learn from Austin to take a break and come back even stronger.
