Leila McKinnon – Edmund McKinnon Gyngell, Student

Journalist and current affairs reporter Leila McKinnon is among Australia’s household names. The ‘Weekend Today’ co-host has graced our screens since 1993, but that’s not her only achievement. She has also succeeded in being a lovely mother to her first-born son, Edmund McKinnon Gyngell.

The celebrity kid may have an adult-sounding name, but his parents call him Ted for short. As far as his last name goes, when he was born in 2012 it was a trend among parents to give their babies double-barrelled surnames. Unfortunately for us, it’s only rarely that we get to see Ted or his sibling on social media, as his parents prefer to keep them out of the limelight.
