It’s A Knockout
This image may look hilarious now but actually serves as a cursory lesson in reasons not to run your mouth when your team wins. This photo is of a famous incident during an NFL playoff game in 1985 between the Los Angeles Raiders and the New England Patriots.
As per the story, Patriots’ general manager, Patrick Sullivan, had been picking on the Raiders defensive end, Howie Long, from the sidelines during the whole game—until he received a massive right hook from Long’s teammate, linebacker Matt Millen. Sullivan claimed he saw stars and needed stitches. A satisfied Millen simply refers to it as a good hit.
