A Whole New World

In the sporting world, it’s not uncommon to see cultures clash. Particularly as more conservative countries get involved in international sport. This photo, taken at the Rio Olympics in 2016, is a prime example of that occurring. But what this perfectly timed photo does is exaggerate the differences extremely.

For one, you have the Italian beach volleyball team, scantily clad in what is deemed the appropriate attire. Meanwhile, you have an Egyptian player dressed modestly in beachwear that covers pretty much everything up. The irony is that the Egyptian lady actually looks perplexed at the Italian players’ inappropriate dress and behavior.
