Proud To Be American

The flag you see on the boat with these Southerners is America’s national flag. It features 13 horizontal red and white stripes, a blue rectangle, and 50 stars. All the stars represent the different states in the United States, and the stripes represent the 13 British colonies.

Many people in the South are proud to be Americans, and you will often see them show their pride by adding a flag to their property or vehicles. Many of the people in the South are active politically and are proud supporters of the Republican Party.
