Man Down!
At first glance, this photo may seem to be a carefully staged scene. However, it appears to be nothing more than a bit of teenage fun gone wrong—the skater who fell has assumed a position that resembles a chalk outline of a body, which makes it an intriguing image.
Fortunately, all seems to be well since there are no obvious signs of injury or blood. Even the skater still standing had enough time to place his skateboard on the fence, leaving us to wonder why the group was there in the first place. Perhaps they were simply lying in wait for Google’s van, making them two clever pranksters indeed.
Biking With My Pet
It’s certainly an odd scene that has been captured on Google Street View! The cyclist, decked out in the gear of a professional rider, is riding an 1880s penny-farthing bike with a stuffed penguin-shaped figure attached to the back. It’s unclear why the cyclist has the penguin, but it could be a baby dressed up in a penguin costume, enjoying the ride.
This unique sighting is even more special because these vintage bikes are rare and expensive. The photo was taken in Perth, Australia, but Google has since updated its pictures from the location, and the new images do not feature the penguin-toting cyclist.
It Has Feelings, Too
It appears that this person dressed as Gumby is getting a less-than-warm welcome from these two youngsters. It’s possible that they simply don’t appreciate the Gumby animations, or maybe they’re too young to understand the character’s legacy. Gumby has been a pop culture icon since the 1950s. He has been referenced in films, TV shows, songs, and even video games.
Whatever the reason, it appears that the person in the suit is trying to offer some kind of friendly gesture, yet the children are attacking him with slippers. It’s possible that he actually knows the kids, as the suit does seem to be a bit too large for him.
