Jim Brown, 85 , Born In 1936 – Cleveland Browns Icon
Living life in the limelight as an actor or a pro-athlete is tough, but Jim Brown made balancing both look easy. As a fullback for the Cleveland Browns, Brown embarked on a successful career as a movie star appearing in films like Rio Conchos and The Dirty Dozen. Unfortunately, something darker seemed to lurk behind his handsome exterior.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer was hounded by domestic violence accusations beginning in 1968 and including one from his second wife, Monique, in 1997. The couple appears to have patched things up since. They remain married to this day and share a son Aris, who is following his father’s footsteps into sports as a lacrosse player.
Tina Louise, 87 , Born In 1934 – Gilligan’s Island
Tina Louise is best remembered as the sultry and glamorous Ginger Grant on the ‘60s sitcom Gilligan’s Island. Over 50 years since starring in the show that made her famous, Louise’s latest role as a dying mother in the 2019 faith-based film Tapestry can’t be further from her former image.
Fans need not fret, though, as we might not have seen the last of Ginger yet. The son of the late show’s creator, Sherwood Schwartz, is teasing a potential movie based on Gilligan’s Island that’s been in development for a long time.
Ann-Margret, 80 , Born In 1941 – Bye Bye Birdie
Ann-Margret’s glamorous image is immortalized in films like Bye Bye Birdie and Viva Las Vegas. But while the Sweden-born entertainer spent years dressed to the nines beside frequent partner Elvis Presley, Ann-Margret isn’t afraid to rough it once in a while, especially on motorcycles.
Not even a riding accident in 2000 fazed her from her pursuing her adventurous hobby. Now, 79, we hope the five-time Golden Globe winner is taking things easy as she continues to act in projects like the comedy film Never Too Late alongside fellow screen legend James Caan.
