Eileen Derbyshire – Coronation Street – Age 89
It’s been a while since we last saw Eileen Derbyshire on-screen. So, it’s unfortunate that the rare chance we hear from her happens to be because of a tragedy. In February 2021, it was reported that her husband of 56 years, Thomas W Holt, had passed away after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
With that sad news and her advancing age, it’s safe to say that Emily Bishop won’t be coming back to the cobbles anytime soon. Derbyshire notably missed the show’s 60th-anniversary milestone celebrations in 2020. She starred in the long-running soap for 55 years.
