In 2021, the “Good Morning Britain” host decided to renovate her London family home to better suit the needs of her husband, Derek Draper. After spending one year away, Draper returned home to find a hospital bed in the bedroom and a fully-readapted washroom.

Garraway and Draper’s struggle was documented in the 2021 TV movie “Kate Garraway: Finding Derek.” Reportedly, the renovation cost Garraway a few thousand pounds, as stated by Hello! magazine and the Daily Star. In addition to her work in “Good Morning Britain,” Garraway is also known for her appearances in “Lorraine” and “Strictly Come Dancing.”
