Ginger Zee – $500K
Who says you can’t be pretty and know how to predict the weather? Ginger Renee Colonomos, a.k.a. Ginger Zee is currently working for ABC News as the chief meteorologist. After graduating from college, she grafted through the regional scene working for WEYI-TV in Michigan and WYIN-TV in Indiana, among others.
Ginger’s big break came when she worked for Chicago based, NBC owned WMAQ. Her five-year stint created the stepping stones she needed for her first taste of national TV on Good Morning America Weekend in 2011. Two years later, Ginger became the permanent meteorologist for both Good Morning America and Weather Edition for ABC News.
Gayle King — $5.5 Million
Gayle King is best friends with Oprah Winfrey and has interviewed some of the biggest names in the world, including Michelle Obama and Taylor Swift. She has done work for Winfrey, including correspondence on the Oprah Winfrey Show and working as the Editor at Large for O Magazine.
But King has her career highlights: She has hosted various talks shows, included her own called the Gayle King Show, which she also did via online radio for a short while. She also anchored CBS This Morning since 2011 and famously held her composure during an interview with R. Kelly, where the singer and rape accused became irate during an interview.
Diane Sawyer — $9 million
From CBS to NBC, Diane Sawyer is one of the most recognized names in television. She was the anchor of Good Morning America for 11-years and was also the first female correspondent on 60-Minutes newsmagazine. She has been inducted into the Television Hall of Fame and won two Emmy Awards for her work as a morning show anchor and documentary maker.
Sawyer pursued journalism from a young age, becoming the editor of her high school newspaper. She was also part of the White House Staff during Richard Nixon’s time in office and subsequently helped him write his post-presidential memoirs. Sawyer currently works as a documentary and special report producer.
